There can be nothing more personal than saying goodbye to a loved one. Remembering and celebrating a life is a monumental moment. Performing at the service, graveside, or a memorial is an honor that I take very personally. My mission as a chosen funeral celebrant is to create a ceremony that reflects the wishes, beliefs and values (religious and non-religious) of your loved ones and your family.
Many times this includes their Love of Family, Spirituality, Love of the Church, or a tribute to their service to this Nation as part of the Military or Public Safety. This also may include their allegiance and pride as an Alumnus to a great institution by including their Alma Mater or Cultural/Fraternal Organization. Some of these funerals have included thousands of people and other just a few that pay their respects. Some services are traditional and others are not, but either way they are all very personal and require the need for compassion, understanding, dignity, and the utmost of respect.
Services of Distinction offers you complete control and final approval over the ceremony format and words delivered by the celebrant. Nothing is imposed on you. I offer you my promises:
I will spend hours-if necessary-creating the ceremony and learning about your loved one in unhurried meetings with designated family and friends
I will help craft a eulogy and create a ceremony with music, quotes, readings, symbols and rituals if you’d like; you may ask as many others to participate as you would like as well.
I will offer compassion and sincerity and the greatest of care and officiate at the location of your choice, i.e. funeral home, chapel, graveside, your home or elsewhere.
